The Light House Baby Shelter

In 2013, we agreed not to buy our clients Christmas gifts to say thank you for their support – we decided to take the money and throw a Christmas party at an orphanage called The Light House Baby Shelter:

The LIGHT HOUSE Baby Shelter was founded in 2008. This Baby Shelter provides a safe haven for all abandoned babies/children, some of whom have been found in squatter camps, on pavements and in rubbish bins… Just to name a few places in which these little innocent souls are left abandoned…

The LIGHT HOUSE Baby Shelter also has a facility whereby unwanted babies can be left, anonymously, in a Moses Basket, which is literally a “hole in the wall” at 48 Drysdale Road in Sundowner, Randburg. Each time the Moses Basket “has movement”, an alarm goes off to notify the helpers that someone has been left in the basket – completely abandoned…

The home currently cares for 30 children from the ages of 4 months up to 8 years old. There are also about 12 staff members that care for the children, the garden/play area and the home in which they live.

This safe haven has touched the heart of all the ladies working at Green Grass Consulting! We agreed to “give back” to the community this year. So, on our client’s behalf, we arranged a Christmas Party and a visit from Santa with gifts for all the children and helpers!

This donation on your behalf, was a BIG THANK YOU for all your support. It has been a great year again and we could not have done it without your loyal support!
